About Madsen's Web Site
This site is actually quite old -- in computer years. Madsen's Online began as a BBS (Bulletin Board Service) in the early 90's. At the time it ran on a IBM XT with a 2400 baud modem. A few years later, a local ISP opened up, so we learned HTML, converted our documents, and posted them on the net. That is how our web site began.
Over the years, much has changed on the site, including the people who work on it. Two web masters have come and gone. Both fellows developed good content and their influence can still be seen on the site today. (Thanks, Dave and Dan.) One thing that hasn't changed is our goal to offer the best content for professional saw users on the web. We aren't looking for millions of hits or design awards, so don't look to us for fancy GRAPHICS. Our goal is to provide an easy-to-navigate site that is rich with content on pro saws and can't be found elseware. So, if you make your living with a pro saw and this site helps you in some way, we are thrilled.
While pro saw users are our target audience, we think anyone who appreciates quality tools and durable outdoor wear will find something to like at Madsen's. We carry: Stihl, Husqvarna and Honda power equipment. Our work wear lines include: Danner, Red Wing, White, and Viberg boots. For clothing, we carry: Carhartt, Key, Filson, and many other great brands. Our prices are unbeatable and our deep inventories enable us to have what you want, when you want it. We also make a point to include big and tall sizes in most styles. So, if you have a hard time finding work wear that fits, check us out.
We are physically located in a large warehouse in Southwest Washington. In it is over thirty thousand square feet filled with tools, supplies, and work wear - one of the largest inventories of products for loggers and chain saw professionals anywhere. If you live in the area, or find yourself nearby for any reason, we invite you to stop in. The coffee pot is always on.
